The Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme (JESIP) is a programme designed to improve how emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) work together during major incidents by promoting principles such as co-location, communication, coordination, joint risk-understanding and shared situational awareness.
The JESIP website provides a range of resources to help with the planning and debriefing of exercises. These include:
- JESIP Exercise Assurance Framework which helps organisations with the planning of one day multi-agency live play exercises.
- Umpire Evaluation Sheet, this is designed to support those who take an umpire role at a multi-agency exercise.
- Multi-Agency Debrief Template, an aide memoire for debrief facilitators.
- Exercise Objectives Template which can be used to establish objectives for exercises following JESIP principles.
