Preparedness Learning Pathways

Developing Local Preparedness Learning Pathway

Our Developing Preparedness Learning Pathway is designed to build capability progressively from understanding risk and consequence through to developing practical arrangements, strengthening continuity and validating preparedness through exercising.

Aligned to the UKRA approach to preparedness, the pathway supports individuals and organisations to identify risks and plan effectively. Learners can enter at the stage that reflects their role and experience, with some courses also feeding into other working level pathways offered at the UK Resilience Academy spanning Resilience Assurance and Business Continuity. Whilst logical to complete in the order presented, it is not a requirement.

Whether you are new to local preparedness planning or looking to strengthen existing arrangements across organisations and partnerships, the pathway provides structured, practical learning that can be applied in real-world settings.

*Starting Out in Resilience is the essential foundation for all our preparedness pathways. If you’ve already got a solid grasp of UK resilience fundamentals, you might not find this course necessary to progress into the Resilience Assurance Pathway
