Vicky is an experienced resilience professional with a career spanning the emergency services, local government, and health sectors. Currently serving as Resilience Capability Lead, she is passionate about strengthening organisational resilience through the development of capability, governance, training, exercising, and continuous improvement programmes that enable organisations to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies.
With extensive experience in emergency preparedness, response, business continuity, and organisational resilience, Vicky has worked across a range of public service environments, developing and implementing arrangements that support effective incident management and organisational resilience. Her varied career and networks, provide her with a broad perspective on the challenges and opportunities of resilience planning across complex organisations and multi-agency partnerships.
Known for her collaborative approach and engaging leadership style, Vicky is committed to embedding resilience at every level of an organisation. She believes that resilience is most effective when it is understood as a shared responsibility and supported by strong relationships, continuous learning, and effective partnerships. Through her work, she continues to help organisations build the confidence, capability, and adaptability needed to meet the challenges of an increasingly complex and evolving risk landscape.
A passionate advocate for professional development and collaboration, Vicky is one of the founders of the Resilience Community Training and Exercising Forum, an initiative established to bring resilience practitioners together to share best practice, enhance professional knowledge, and improve collective preparedness. The forum has created a valuable network for practitioners, supporting stronger collaboration and capability across the resilience profession.
